What does repetiton mean to you?

Repetition . . .
They say history repeats itself
Well, I don't think so
Time moves in only one direction
And you can never turn back the clock
Nothing ever repeated, no two things ever the same.
Repetition . . .
Hearing that voice in your head
Repeating your hopes and dreams that never seem to come to pass
And the same voice repeating don't give up
The human spirit - hope eternal.
Repetition . . .
Falling in and out of love
How many times has that happened to you?
I would bet more than two.
In the beginning always fresh and new
Later grows old and sours,
But there's nothing much you can do.
Repetition . . .
We like to defy repetition citing boredom
We like a new challenge
The spice of variety
We enjoy the thrill
Repetition . . .
The say practice makes perfect
Then they say nothing is perfect
So what kind of bullshit is that?
Repetition
Doing the same things over and over until they become habits
The good ones easy to break
The bad ones easy to make.
Repetition . . .
They say you should have a routine
Wake up, eat, sleep at the same time everyday
It's good for your longevity
Repetition . . .
You are spinning like the earth on its axis
Endless rotation, things still happen
Evolution takes place ever so slowly
Tripped up by global warming's impact
A giant asteroid could strike in 2029
Accidents breaking nature's fragility
Repetition . . .
Making a mistake, the first time call it a lesson
Repeat the same mistake, a folly
Repeat it a third time, madness
Repetition - more like a bicycle chain
Two sprockets - one cause and the other effect
We are all repeaters - repeat offenders who can't break the cycle
Repeaters - like a machine gun - rat tat tat.
Repetition . . .
Does repetition close the mind to other possibilities?
Well, I suppose that's up to you.
Praying around the circle of rosary beads
A road map to paradise
And without faith you'll go to hell
A simple thought,
But too simple to be true
Repetition . . .
the circle of morning and night
Life and death
The Aum of meditation and out of repetition something new emerges
A new understanding. - some call it enlightenment
They say that the circle never ends
The repetition of breath
The universe within.
